The entire tower section has a regular, symmetrical, and uniform geometry, defining gas-liquid flow channels, reducing channel flow and wall flow phenomena, and allowing for very low pressure drop. Under the same energy consumption and pressure drop conditions, it provides a larger specific surface area than random packing, achieving higher mass and heat transfer efficiencies for the same volume.
