Product Description

Intalox Saddle Ring is a random packing material with a unique saddle-shaped geometry. Its shape resembles a curved saddle, hence the name "saddle packing." Developed from earlier arc saddle rings, the Intalox Saddle Ring is an improved product. By optimizing geometric parameters, it overcomes the drawbacks of arc saddle rings, such as easy nesting and high pressure drop, making it one of the highest-performing saddle packings currently available.
Unlike Pall rings, stepped rings, and other annular packings, the Intalox Saddle Ring employs an open "C" or "S" shaped structure without closed ring walls. This open structure allows for smoother flow of the gas and liquid phases through the packing layer, resulting in a lower pressure drop. Simultaneously, the special curved surface design of the Intalox Saddle Ring gives it excellent orientation when randomly stacked, reducing nesting and accumulation between packing particles.

Product Feature

I. Low Pressure Drop, Significant Energy Savings
The open structure and curved surface design of the Intalox Saddle Ring ensures smooth gas flow through the packing layer with minimal local resistance. Compared to ring packings of the same specifications, the Intalox Saddle Ring exhibits a lower pressure drop, making it particularly suitable for vacuum distillation and pressure-drop-sensitive applications. Long-term operation can result in substantial energy cost savings.
II. High Mass Transfer Efficiency, Excellent Separation
The curved surface structure of the Intalox Saddle Ring provides more contact surface for the gas and liquid phases. As the liquid spreads on the packing surface, a uniform liquid film is formed, ensuring full contact between the gas and liquid film and resulting in high mass transfer efficiency. Compared to arc saddle rings, the Intalox Saddle Ring avoids nesting between packing elements, eliminating dead zones and significantly improving the overall separation efficiency of the column.
III. Strong Anti-clogging Capacity, Long Operating Cycle
The open structure of the Intalox Saddle Ring prevents solid particles from accumulating within the packing layer. Even small amounts of impurities are easily carried away by the gas-liquid flow, minimizing the risk of clogging. Compared to ring packings, Intalox Saddle Rings offer superior anti-clogging capabilities, making them particularly suitable for media containing solid particles or prone to scaling.
IV. High Mechanical Strength and Durability
The design of Intalox Saddle Rings ensures uniform stress distribution across the packing particles, minimizing localized stress concentration. Ceramic Intalox Saddle Rings exhibit higher compressive and flexural strength than similar packings; the thin-walled structure of metal Intalox Saddle Rings maintains sufficient mechanical strength while remaining lightweight.

Manufacturing and Quality
AYRTTER Intalox Saddle Rings utilize advanced manufacturing processes and a rigorous quality control system.
Ceramic Intalox Saddle Rings employ vacuum extrusion and high-temperature sintering processes. The blank is vacuum extruded, resulting in high density and no porosity; precise temperature control during high-temperature sintering ensures excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. Each batch undergoes testing for compressive strength, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, and other properties.
Metal Intalox Saddle Rings are manufactured using precision stamping, resulting in precise curved surfaces and smooth, burr-free edges. The thin-walled design ensures sufficient mechanical strength while maintaining lightweight construction.
The plastic Intalox Saddle Ring is manufactured using precision injection molding, resulting in a one-piece molding process with excellent dimensional consistency. Strict injection molding process control ensures a bubble-free interior and a smooth surface.
AYRTTER Intalox Saddle Ring complies with ISO9001 quality management system certification. Each batch undergoes rigorous testing to ensure stable performance and reliable quality.
